Credentialing specialists maintain regular cooperation and compliance with all regulatory, accrediting, and membership-based standards of the Missouri Credentialing Board and the IC&RC. Credentialing specialists will process applications and renewal paperwork, checking for full completeness and accuracy. They will collect and process significant amounts of verification and accreditation information, and thus must constantly maintain and update accurate databases. These databases include pertinent education, training, experience, and credentialing content. Job Duties • Processes all new applications and renewal applications for the Missouri Credentialing Board. • Assists higher-level program staff in implementing programs and/or services through credentialing, ethics investigations; program planning: implementation, monitoring, and and/or other assignments of similar scope and responsibility. • Provides technical assistance and/or trainings to individuals on program philosophies, standards, policies, and procedures. • Assists higher-level staff in interpreting program guidelines, formulating and evaluating program plans, and providing general support of program activities. • Provides training and guidance to assigned programs. • Collects information on program activities and disseminates to higher level staff, service providers, and other interested groups and agencies for informational and public relations purposes. •  Collects data on program issues and identifies trends in program activities and services. • Assists in coordinating special events, seminars, and training related to the program or service areas. • Exercises independent judgment and initiative within established parameters; receives supervision from higher level staff. • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office. • Answers phone calls, processes mail, schedules meetings and supports visitors. • Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc. • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail. • Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication. • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques. • Provides information by answering questions and requests. • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Performs other related work as assigned.
