Sober House Supervisor

Salary: $43,000 – $46,000

Position Description

The Sober House Supervisor lives at the Concordance House in Elsberry, Missouri and provides residential supervision to participants in recovery during non-Academy hours. The Supervisor is responsible for managing the house schedule, scheduling coverage when needed, organizing participant activities, running the house meetings, and maintaining the house rules and structure. The Concordance House Supervisor also has hours at the Academy to assist participants in navigating community-based resources.

This position reports to the EVP, Head of Community and Life Skills

Major Duties

Oversee the house staffing schedule and participant activity schedule.
Responsible and expected to assist with trouble shooting situations that tend to arise such as curfew, re-set water pump, etc.
Maintain and update records for each participant in CAPS as well as daily communication with the participant’s interdisciplinary team members of the participant progress at the Concordance House.
Maintain participant’s confidentiality.
Conduct random room checks and searches.
Liaison within Concordance team for participants’ ongoing treatment and programming.
Provides transportation to participants’ appointments, AA meetings, housing appointments, etc.
Oversees meal preparation, as well as, maintaining inventory of house and food supplies.
Sober House duties include but are not limited to:
Driving participants to and from the Academy Monday-Friday
Wake-up calls to participants
Driving participants to 12 step or community meetings
Facilitating extra-curricular events
Maintaining the house curfew
Transporting participants to fun and leisure activities as determined by program schedule
Perform random and scheduled alcohol and drug testing of participants
Required Education and Experience

0-2 years’ experience within a residential sober living environment
Ability to work under adverse conditions such as constant interruptions, inappropriate behaviors, and to resolve conflict in crisis situations
Must have at least 5 years of continued sobriety
Inter-personal communication skills
Attention to detail
Mission focus
Experience working with justice-involved individuals
Lived experience preferred
Licensure and Certification

High School Degree (or equivalent)
Driver’s license with clean driving record
Class E Driver’s License preferred
CPR/ First Aid Certification
