Crisis Responsive Peer Training
Crisis Responsive Peer Training
April 23, 2026 @ 8:00 am - April 24, 2026 @ 5:00 pm
VIRTUAL
This baseline training is designed for peer support professionals who may encounter crisis situations in their roles. It provides essential knowledge and foundational skills to help peers recognize and respond appropriately to crises while staying within their scope of practice. It is important to note that this training does not prepare peers to serve as crisis team members. Peers interested in working on crisis teams will require additional, in-depth training from their employer or other specialized programs to develop the necessary skills for that level of intervention. – This a Collaborative Training by the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Credentialing Board.
This training program will provide information and skills building in the following areas (and more!): situational awareness, trauma, self-care, conflict de-escalation, suicide prevention and post crisis strategies. As with other peer training programs, once completed an exam must be taken and passed in order to receive the Crisis Responsive Peer Certification.
**You MUST currently have a Certified Peer Specialist or a Family Support Provider certification with the Missouri Credentialing Board
