Haven Recovery is a mission-driven organization providing innovative housing and behavioral health solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and medical vulnerability. Our Recuperative Care Program offers a safe, structured environment for individuals discharged from hospitals who need short-term support while recovering and transitioning to stable housing and wellness.
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Recuperative Care Client Support Specialist with an active CADC or CRADC certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board. This role provides direct support, recovery guidance, crisis intervention, and care coordination for guests in our Recuperative Care setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide supportive supervision and engagement with guests during shift hours
• Utilize lived experience and recovery principles to encourage client progress
• Assist with admissions, orientations, room checks, and discharge planning support
• Monitor facility safety, cleanliness, and client well-being
• Document interactions, incidents, and progress notes accurately
• Coordinate with case managers, nurses, hospitals, and outside providers
• De-escalate behavioral health or substance use related crises appropriately
• Transport or coordinate transportation when needed
• Support medication observation reminders and wellness check-ins
• Maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed care standards
Required Qualifications
• Active CADC or CRADC certification through Missouri Credentialing Board
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year experience in recovery support, behavioral health, shelters, treatment, or human services preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays as scheduled
